Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California to his biological parents Joanne Schieble and John Jandali. Due to the family’s objections, both of them could not afford to raise their children, so they had to take their small child and ask someone else to raise it for them. Steven was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, whom he always considered his real parents. From an early age, Jobs was encouraged by his father to expose him to the mechanical world. He would spend many hours with his father, dismantling and assembling the electronics in the family garage. However, he dropped out after six months and spent the next 18 months taking creative classes at the school. Jobs signed up for a calligraphy course and fell in love with it. He later said that course was the foundation for many of Apple’s typefaces today. His first real computer job was as a technician at Atari, Inc. in Los Gatos, California, in 1973. In 1976, together with his friend Wozniak, founded ‘Apple Computer Company’. Initially, the company mainly aimed to sell circuit boards. In the same year, Wozniak invented the Apple I, II computer.
