March 2022 kicks off with one of the year’s most anticipated sneakers, arriving right as the frenzy around college basketball begins to brew. That would be the Air Jordan 6 “UNC”, a sneaker that continues a storied series of University Blue Jordans that have taken the world by storm over the last few years.
As the next installment of Jordan Brand’s college PE-themed collection, this Air Jordan 6 features the high-contrast blocking of white and university blue, the AJ7’s tribal pattern on the tongue and interior lining, and the Team Jordan uniform patch stitched onto the exterior of the heel. Previous Jordan Retro releases in this style have included the Air Jordan 3, 4, and 5 for UNC, Oregon, Georgetown, and Michigan, so hopefully we’ll see these other schools receive their own unique AJ6 as well.

The Grade School–sized(GS) Air Jordan 6 Retro UNC White GS uses the colorway University Blue/White/College Navy/Black to reflect the colors of Micheal Jordan’s alma mater, the UNC Tar Heels. Blue nubuck with white leather overlays make up the upper. The polyurethane hit on the midsole, the molded TPU heel tab, and the sock lining are navy. A Jumpman appears on the tongue, laces tab, insole, outsole, and on the Jordan Team patch stitched on the heel. The midsole has a visible Air unit, and the outsole is translucent blue and white.
